Remember, It's The Comic Shoppe @6pm & Afronerd Radio @7pm-Issues to Discuss: Abraham Lincoln: V. Hunter; Metal Men Film?; Dear White People Trailer; Sandusky Found Guilty & More!
Afronerd Radio's unwritten mantra has always been to blast our audience with unbridled information and this Sunday's show proves to be no different. Pull up a seat and listen to our first hour (6pm) at The Comic Shoppe with your hosts, Daryll B., Captain Kirk and Dburt as they discuss the following topics: the highly anticipated Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter was released this past weekend to a lukewarm box office; Men in Black's Barry Sonnenfeld might have an interest in DC's Metal Men for a prospective film project; the folks at Warner Brothers have ramped up their viral marketing with the impending release of the The Dark Knight Rises; more Black Panther casting rumors (i.e. Anthony Mackie; Aldis Hodge) and lastly, if time permits, we will highlight our comic book favorite reads from the previous week. You can reach the hosts live at 646-915-9620 or via email/instant message at afronerdradio@yahoo.com.
Next up, for the second half, we have Afronerd featuring Captain Kirk airing at 7pm sharp. Listen to Dburt and The Captain shed light on the following current event related issues: the internet appears to be abuzz concerning the new Dear White People trailer; former Penn State football coach, Jerry Sandusky was found guilty on 45 of 48 sexual abuse charges that will likely result in life in prison; yet another article focusing on the Black female obesity epidemic in the U.S. and how a 64 year old female bodybuilding phenom serves as the correct antithesis to the madness and the Huffington Post'sBlack Voices article that elucidates on initiatives geared to address the education achievement gap pertaining to low income students.
