Comic Shoppe's Special 2hr Show at 6pm ET-Late Dwayne McDuffiie '08 Interview, Alex Ross' "Kirby," The Threequel Curse, A Cheap Avengers Movie?

Consider tomorrow's Comic Shoppe broadcast an extended grand opening special! Join the Comic Shoppe team for a special 6pm start time. We will be rebroadcasting our interview with the late great graphic novel author and animator, Dwayne McDuffie at (thecomicshoppe.com or afronerdradio.com). After the rebroadcast, our regularly scheduled show begins with the CS team shedding light on the following pulp flavored issues: the team's expectations for the upcoming Dynamite helmed Kirby: Genesis series; with expectations running feverishly high for The Dark Knight Rises-is it possible that the film might be able to break the "threequel" curse?; taking a page from the above Ifanboy clip, the team will ruminate on the importance of "shippiness" or romance in graphic novels; speculation (or is it concern?) on the cost of the 2012 Avengers film and lastly, our recommendations for comic book must reads. Call us live at 646-915-9620 or via email at-afronerdradio@yahoo.com.

Man, I was late on the Dwayne McDuffie news. That's really sad. He was truly the man. Justice League is an all time show. I have friends and relatives who never read comics, but who love Justice League, and always watch the DVD movies when they come out. That was some of the best writing on TV, regardless of the genre. He will be missed.
